Mabuhay mga Misis (wifeys)! Are you ready for FoodieWednesday’s opening salvo? Let’s get started then!
For this week, COMMITMENT is the central theme for all five days of WifeSpeaks’ daily blog carnival. So what are we foodies to do? It’s very simple really, post a photo of food or share a recipe from one of the very many instances you and your better half celebrated your commitment to one another, perhaps from the day you said “Yes” to be hubby’s girlfriend (or was it the other way around?), the night your ex-boyfriend now hubby asked you to marry him, your wedding day, anniversaries, etc. 
I chose to post a photo of our wedding cake…
It is a full 4-tiered cake (read: no styrofoam!) and is a gift from one of our wedding ninangs (principal sponsor) who also happened to be our caterer and one of my mom’s best gal pals. :) We didn’t want a traditional wedding cake loaded with tons of flowers. I found a photo of a chocolate cake with fruits and chocolate mosaic and immediately fell in love with it. And that’s where the design of this cake was based. I have this thing for symbols of abundance and round fruits are just some of them, which endeared the cake design to me..to us…even more.
We’re talking IDEAL next week and you have one whole week to get ready to: share that one ideal dish, your model of cooking excellence, which you’ve prepared for hubby and your family ever! It can be an appetizer, soup or dessert. It can be a sandwich! Come on, I bet we’ve all whipped up something for our better halves, whether we love or hate cooking !
