Over the years, the Haligi and I have taken interest in how celebrity couples have come and gone. Typically, we see them wearing their oversized glasses, or carrying designer bags, or strolling hand in hand one moment; before engaging in a public battle which eventually leads to an ugly separation, the next.

But there are those who seem to have survived (or at least, are trying to survive) the challenges of having a romance under public scrutiny. Once out of the limelight, they shed their glamorous persona, and become no different from you and me. Theirs is a partnership built on love, stability, and even style which the Haligi and I truly admire.

Top of mind, we can name two couples whose casual fashion sense and comfortable, relaxed relationship, we can truly relate with.

One is American showbiz couple, Reese Witherspoon and Jake Gyllenhaal.

And the next is local broadcasting couple, Daphne Osena-Paez and Patrick Paez.
